High Bridge |
It rained overnight
but it had stopped when we got up. We hardly saw any other boats moving as we cruised
even though it stayed dry all morning. Norbury Junction was bathed in sunshine and people were sitting outside.

Norbury Junction |
We moored for lunch
at Gnosall visitor moorings just as the rain started. It turned out to be a
long break as the rain continued heavily for a couple of hours.
The Captain
tried banking on his new smart phone. It wasn’t easy. Several attempts later after
mutterings of “I don’t believe it!” and “Oh no! The signal’s gone again!” the
deed was done.
“I’ll check in a
couple of days to make sure it’s gone through,” he decided.

It was brighter when
we cast off, but we only went to the waterpoint round the corner. Lottie
however decided it was good sniffing territory and marked lots of places until
she ran out of wee.

Bridge over disused canal to Newport |
When we moved on we
cruised for a couple of hours with the weather switching from sun to showers
and back again. The temperature soared as we moored up below Aston Wheaton lock.
Not bad considering today was supposed to be wet.
Better still
Lottie left her leg alone which is healing nicely.
